Mehfil Cricket Club beat Friends XI by 31 runs
Mehfil Cricket Club posted 111 run in allotted 16 over was enough to beat Friends XI by decent margin of 31 runs. Man of the Match Arvind Krishnan named man of the match scoring 17 runs and taking 2 wickets for 13 runs.
Ramadan Friendship Cup being played at Zabeel Park for emerging and master’s players competing for the trophy. Mehfil C C, Friends XI, G Force Cricket Academy and Wings XI are taking this competition very seriously. Teams want to do well so that coming season they play better. All participating team will get rewarded for their efforts.
Mehfil C C openers played well. Naushad 25 and Pradeep 21 played match winning knock followed by Arvind timely 17 runs including four and six posted 111 runs in 16 over. For Friends XI Jayanth got 2 wickets for 17. Dev, Shadab, Amol and Ali grabbed one wicket.
In reply Friends XI lost Deep early but Dev 16 and Srivanth 22 fought well against good bowling attack of Mehfil C C. Arvind scalp 2 wickets for 13 and Amal 2 for 12 did the bulk of the damage to Friends XI. They failed to reach target at the end. Friends XI lost by 31 runs.
