Experienced and most prolific run scorer in UAE, Saqib Ali shown his consistent performance with his bat 60 not out and 3 wickets for 15 runs to beat Eurocon Alubond by 7 wickets. NMC playing only one tournament in this Ramadan looks strong as ever and heading for Semifinal contest in couple of days. Eurocon Alubond disappointing Ramadan journey continues when top orders failed to score. They were champions in the past but not this time.
Batting first Eurocon scored 127 runs in allotted 20 over. Mohd Azam who bat at no.7 scored quick fire 30 after top orders crumbled to Sadeep Silva 2 for 29 and Saqib Ali 3 for 15. Vikrant Shetty 22 and Sheraz Butt 21, little contribution not enough to post decent score on the board to defend.
In reply NMC started off well with Indika Sampat 21 and Niresh Fernando 20 runs. Though they lost 3 wickets but Saqib Ali took over the charge scoring briskly. His 39 balls 60 was delighted to watch with 2 sixes and 7 fours. He paced his inning nicely and won it in style.
