SHARJAH – Rohan Mustafa produced a fine all-round performance to guide Rufi Real Estate to a fine five-wicket victory over ECB Blues in a quarter-final match of the second Al Dhaid Ramadan T-20 Tournament, organized by the Sharjah Cricket Council, at Al Dhaid Cricket Village.
Rohan first snared three wickets for 21 runs then chipped in with 20 off 13 balls as Rufi Real Estate achieved a modest victory target of 113 in the 16th over. ECB Blues, the winners of the just-concluded Dubai Sports City Ramadan tournament, lost the early initiative when they were bowled out for 112 in 18 overs. Only Irfan (35 off 36 balls with three fours and one six) and Sajjad (20 off nine balls with one four and two sixes) could offer any worthwhile resistance to a charged-up Rufi Real Estate attack.
Besides Rohan, Shoaib also bowled well, taking three wickets for 32 runs while Tariq claimed two for 12 to put ECB Blues on the back foot. Rufi Real Estate, in reply, rode on some useful contributions from Sharjeel Khan (34 off 28 balls) with four fours and one six and Zeeshan (26 off 22 balls with two fours and one six) to knock up the required runs without much fuss.
