Rufi Real Estate beat Veteran Cricket Association, Hyderabad, by nine wickets:
Adil Mirza and Rohan Mustafa turned in fine all-round performances to guide Rufi Real Estate to a convincing nine-wicket victory over Veteran Cricket Association team from Hyderabad in the 23rd Sharjah Ramadan Tournament for the Interface Transworld Cup at the Sharjah stadium on Wednesday night.
The tournament, organized by the Sharjah Cricket Council, is supported by 106.2 HUM FM and CBFS as associate sponsors.
The visiting team from India lost the early initiative when they were bowled out for 103 in the 24th over despite a good knock of 38 off 45 balls by K.V. Seshagiri. Zeeshan ran through the tentative Veteran CA batting line-up, taking four wickets for just seven runs. Rohan Mustafa (three for eight) and Adil Mirza (two for 26) further made life difficult for the visitors with some spot-on bowling.
Rufi Real Estate, in reply, reached the victory target in just 9.3 overs. Adil Mirza followed up his two-wicket haul with a fluent innings of 38 off 24 balls which included four fours and three sixes. Waseem Raja (34 off 12 balls with three fours and three sixes) and Rohan Mustafa (28 off 21 balls with four fours and one six) remained not out to help their
side seal a comprehensive victory.
